Analytics Engineer (Artifactory Product Analytics)
CommIT · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Description We are looking for an Analytics Engineer (contract) to join Artifactory Product Analytics and build the data platform behind how we measure our products. You will own the engineering side of analytics: designing product telemetry with PMs and R&D, modeling that data into trusted, reusable datasets in the warehouse, and making those datasets easy for analysts and stakeholders to consume. Product analysts own the product questions and metric definitions; you make the data underneath them fast, consistent, and dependable. You will work inside an AI-native analytics environment (Cursor, Claude, and similar coding agents) as the default way of shipping — not as an optional add-on. Fixed-term contract: 6–8 months. Start date: October 12, 2026. Responsibilities: • Design telemetry: partner with PMs and R&D to define event and data specs for product usage — schemas, properties, validation, and the path into the warehouse (core, ongoing part of the role) • Build the modeled layer: develop and maintain dbt transformation models (staging → intermediate → gold) so Artifactory product data is consistent, tested, documented, and reusable • Enable self-serve: with the analysts, design and implement how stakeholders reach certified product data so recurring questions don't need a custom pull • Align definitions: standardize entities, grain, and model structure across Artifactory areas together with the analysts who own product meaning • Ship in an AI-native workflow: specs, SQL, dbt models, reviews, and documentation done in Cursor / Claude and equivalent tools Requirements Must-have requirements: • 4+ years in analytics engineering, data modeling, or a closely related warehouse role — shipping production-grade models, not only ad-hoc SQL • Hands-on dbt in production: models, tests, documentation, version control • Strong SQL and warehouse data modeling (layered models, grain, entities) • Amazon Redshift or a comparable cloud warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery) • Proven experience designing product telemetry with PMs or engineers — event schemas, properties, validation • Experience with event-tracking platforms / tracking-plan tooling (Snowplow, Segment, Amplitude or similar) • Daily, fluent use of Cursor, Claude, or equivalent agentic coding environments to write, review, and ship data work • Git-based workflows and code review • Comfortable building a shared data layer in close partnership with embedded product analysts; clear English communication with PMs and engineers Nice to have: • Snowplow specifically (strongly preferred) • Redshift specifically • BI / semantic-layer exposure (Looker, Tableau, Metabase or similar) • Python for data tooling • B2B DevOps / developer-tools product domain • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience

What you’ll do • Own the full loop - understand the problem, define the solution, architect it, ship it, monitor it. No one hands you a spec • Build with AI as your primary tool - Claude Code, Cursor, whatever gives the most leverage; do in a day what used to take a team a week • Co-design with stakeholders and the business - decision logic, risk thresholds, success metrics • Build the evaluation harness before you ship - if you can’t measure it, it’s not done • Own production from day one - monitoring, alerting, observability; you’re on call for what you build • Raise the bar - in design reviews, in code, and in how the team works Who you are Engineering  • At least 7 years of experience as a backend engineer • Experience shipping production AI systems - running them in the real world and fixing what breaks, not just building them • Understanding of agentic architectures - orchestration, multi-step workflows, fallback and error logic • Strong eval instincts - you define metrics, build test sets, and don’t ship until you can measure • Full-stack range - comfortable across the prompt, RAG pipeline, orchestrator, and backend • Comfortable across any stack - you go where the right solution is • Honest communication - you flag problems early and give direct, candid feedback • You understand production concerns such as reliability, maintainability, security, observability, latency, and cost. AI fluency  • Real fluency with AI coding tools - genuinely fast, not just "familiar with" • Think in workflows, not endpoints - agentic loops, skills, and orchestrated flows; CRUD with an LLM bolted on isn’t a system • Clear judgment about when to trust AI output and when to rewrite it • Goes beyond using AI - builds skills, workflows, and harnesses, not just prompts • You understand common AI-system risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, unreliable tool execution, and uncontrolled autonomy. Good to have  • Fintech or regulated-environment experience - understanding why "probably fine" isn’t acceptable when money is moving What could set you apart • Builder’s itch. When you see a repetitive task or a problem the team has accepted as "too hard to fix," you come back with a working prototype. Watching people do manually what a system could do doesn’t sit right with you. • Grounded confidence. You move forward with incomplete information, make a call, own it. When you’re wrong, you update and move on - no drama, no ego. • Production instinct. When you design, you’re already thinking about 2am incidents, runaway inference costs, and edge cases that surface when real money is moving. "Probably fine" isn’t a risk posture. • Curious and adaptive. You explore new models and tools before anyone tells you to, run the experiment, and help create the best practices that don’t exist yet. Why join us • Real problems at scale - 25M+ customers in 190+ countries depend on these systems; the stakes are real • You help define the methodology - early-stage work at Payoneer; you won’t inherit a playbook, you’ll write it • Work directly with senior architects, engineers, product leaders, and business stakeholders. • Build solutions for challenging real-world problems where reliability, security, and measurable outcomes matter. #LI-MP2 The Payoneer Ways of Working Act as our customer’s partner on the inside Learning what they need and creating what will help them go further. Payoneer · Tel Aviv-Yafo, Herzliya

About Payoneer Founded in 2005, Payoneer is the global financial platform that removes friction from doing business across borders, with a mission to connect the world’s underserved businesses to a rising global economy. We’re a community with over 2,500 colleagues all over the world, working to serve customers, and partners in over 190 countries and territories. By taking the complexity out of the financial workflows–including everything from global payments and compliance to multi-currency and workforce management, to providing working capital and business intelligence–we give businesses the tools they need to work efficiently worldwide and grow with confidence. Glilot Hybrid Full-time Serving users in over 190 countries, we have to keep them at the heart of what we build, and that is harder in a highly regulated industry. It means taking complex fintech processes and making them simple and transparent, connecting people to real value with minimal effort on their side. Onboarding and the customer lifecycle sit at the center of that - it's where a business decides whether Payoneer is worth its time, and where we either earn the relationship or lose it. We're looking for a strong product leader to own how customers discover, activate and grow with Payoneer across multiple surfaces. What you'll do: • Lead growth across the customer lifecycle. Own the journey from first touch through onboarding to activation and move the numbers that matter. • Take Payoneer to new surfaces. Define how we show up wherever our customers already are - mobile, partner and marketplace integrations, embedded and API-first flows - and make each one a real front door. • Own the customer experience end-to-end - discovery, solution definition, delivery, outcomes, and post-launch learning - across onboarding, verification touchpoints, lifecycle journeys and the experimentation engine that improves them. • Act as our customers’ partner on the inside - spend real time with customers, and advocate for their needs in every prioritization decision. • Build and grow the team. Hire, coach, and set the bar for a team of product managers. Make them the visible owners of their areas, and create the space for yourself to think six months ahead. • Set the strategy and make the case for it. Define where the area goes, sequence the bets, defend the roadmap to senior leadership, and adjust as you learn. • Partner closely with stakeholders across Marketing, GTM, Partnerships, Compliance, Risk, Operations and Engineering - become fluent enough in their world to collaborate effectively, and drive initiatives responsibly. Growth in a regulated business means winning on conversion without giving ground on quality. • Communicate decisions clearly and proactively to your team and to senior management. Stakeholders should always know what the team is doing and why - without needing to ask. • Leverage AI to raise the bar - in the product and in how the team works. Bring AI into the customer journey where it removes real friction, and use it to accelerate research, synthesis, and execution while you and your PMs do the thinking. Who you are: Experience • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years managing product managers, with a track record of owning growth or activation outcomes in fintech, marketplaces or consumer-grade B2B products - ideally in a regulated domain. • Experience launching and scaling new surfaces - mobile, partner-embedded, marketplace or API-driven experiences - and a clear view of how a multi-surface journey stays coherent while each surface plays to its strengths. • Data mastery across both halves. Fluent in analytics and quantitative reasoning - funnels, cohorts, experiments, statistical judgment - and equally committed to going and getting the qualitative evidence. • Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered product capabilities - personalization, guided or conversational onboarding, intelligent routing - and a grounded view of where AI earns its place in the journey and where it doesn’t. • Attention to detail is not negotiable in this domain - include the name of your favorite TV show in your resume. • Bias for action, Excellent judgment, and a great communicator. • Customer-centric with a designer’s eye. You think in terms of business impact through solving real customers’ problems, and you hold a high bar for craft in every flow that carries the Payoneer name. #LI-MP2 The Payoneer Ways of Working Act as our customer’s partner on the inside Learning what they need and creating what will help them go further.
