Team8 Stealth Cyber Startup- Solution Engineer
Team8 · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Description We're a stealth-mode cybersecurity startup with experienced founders and strong backing. We're building offensive security technology for large organizations, we’re a post product-market-fit looking to scale up operations About the role You'll be our technical authority in the field and the customer's technical point of contact through pre-sales - winning the deal from a technical standpoint: from the first deep session, through scoping and the evaluation, to the handoff once they go live. You'll work closely with sales on deal support, with our field technical lead on scoping and delivery, with research on output quality, and with product on what we build next. What you will own • Evidence and narrative. What we lead with, how the technical story gets told, and whether it survives a customer red team reading it line by line. • Technical scoping. Scope, environment topology, access model, exclusions, technical success criteria. You also name what will go wrong before the evaluation starts:. Each one gets designed around, descoped, or written down with the champion as a known risk. • Evaluation execution. Access setup, kickoff prep, monitoring, checkpoints, readout content. Scope changes and platform issues get escalated, not absorbed. • Tier 1 support during a live evaluation. Customer’s first point of contact during a PoV You resolve what's resolvable, route the rest with enough detail to act on. • Enterprise security review. Technical answers to questionnaires, architecture reviews, privacy and data-handling questions, deployment-model requirements. You build the reusable answer library that makes the second enterprise cost a fraction of the first. • Technical demos and methodology sessions. How the technology works, what controls sit around it, and how it compares to the alternatives a buyer is weighing. You answer the question that decides most deals: how do you know this result is real. • Demo environment and reusable assets. Demo environment, seeded scenarios, playbooks, demo scripts, a recorded demo library, persona talk tracks - You will design and build the technical assets that power the GTM team. • Handoff and product feedback. You will collaborate with GTM and Product to ensure customer expectations are met, providing feedback and insights that will help shape the product roadmap Requirements What we're looking for • Offensive security background: pentester, red teamer, or security researcher, or applicable solutions in the field. Understanding of how an attacker thinks and how to convey it to both executives and technical teams • Hands-on experience leading enterprise evaluations or technical POVs. • You present well and can win a methodology argument with a customer's security staff without losing the room. • You write clearly. Technical narratives and questionnaire answers are both writing jobs. • Comfort with a fast-moving product matters more than familiarity with any particular tooling. • You are a problem solver - independant, can solve issues and write code

Role description We are looking for a strong, technical product leader to own the product from zero to one: define what we build, for whom, and why. You will work shoulder to shoulder with the founders, researchers and engineers, turning deep offensive research and agentic AI capabilities into a product that customers love and pay for. This is the deep end of the product. Global PoPs, traffic steering, tunnels, identity-aware access, and the data plane that everything else in the platform depends on. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with engineering on hard distributed systems problems, and directly with enterprise customers who are betting their network on what we build. If you think in packets and policies, care about latency as much as roadmaps, and want to define a category rather than iterate on someone else's, keep reading. What You'll Do • Own the product roadmap for our SASE infrastructure: PoP architecture, connectivity, tunnels, routing and traffic steering, and the enforcement data plane • Translate enterprise network and security requirements into a clear, opinionated product strategy • Partner daily with engineering on architecture trade-offs across performance, scale, reliability, and cost • Define requirements for ZTNA, SWG, and secure connectivity capabilities, and drive them from spec to GA • Work directly with CISOs, Network Architects, and IT leaders to pressure-test the roadmap against real deployments • Own the metrics that matter: latency, availability, throughput, time-to-deploy, and policy correctness • Partner with Solution Engineering and Sales on POCs, pilots, and strategic enterprise engagements • Track the competitive landscape and sharpen our differentiation against incumbent SASE and SSE vendors Requirements What We're Looking For • 5+ years in Product Management, building networking, network security, or cloud infrastructure products • Strong technical foundation in networking: TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, TLS, tunneling (IPsec, WireGuard), proxies, and routing • Hands-on understanding of SASE, SSE, and Zero Trust architectures, including ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and firewall-as-a-service • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern distributed infrastructure • Proven ability to ship complex infrastructure products with engineering teams, from spec to production • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with both engineers and executive stakeholders • Comfortable in enterprise customer conversations and technical discovery • Experience at a high-growth B2B startup is a strong advantage • Background as a network engineer, security engineer, or solution architect before moving into product is a strong advantage Why Join Us? • Own the core infrastructure product of a platform being built from the ground up • Join a fast-growing, well-funded cybersecurity startup • Work side by side with experienced founders and industry leaders • Solve genuinely hard technical problems at global scale • Real influence over architecture, strategy, and how we go to market • Huge growth opportunity as we build the product organization together If you want to build the network layer that enterprises actually trust, and you'd rather define the standard than follow it, we'd love to hear from you.
