Sr Staff Software Engineer
ServiceNow · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Job Description Senior Staff Software Engineer (AppSec), Tel Aviv We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the AppSec engineering team in Armis R&D and lead it from the inside. The team builds Armis Centrix for Application Security, an AI-native AppSec product built from the ground up over the past year and now growing into a core product line. You get the best of both worlds: a small, autonomous team that owns its product end to end, backed by the data, expertise, and stability of Armis and ServiceNow engineering. If you love taking a product from its first customers to enterprise scale, own outcomes end to end, and raise the bar for the people around you, this is for you. What You'll Do Lead From the Code: Be a technical lead in the team, hands-on in architecture, design, and the critical paths of the codebase, with the accountability that comes with it. Build Agentic AppSec: Design and build LLM-based agents and pipelines that analyze real-world codebases at scale: orchestration, tool use, context engineering, and the deterministic components that do what models shouldn't. Make AI Trustworthy: Own evaluation-driven development: the evaluation harness, golden datasets, regression gates in CI, and cost and latency tracking, so every pipeline change is measured before it ships. Own the Backend & AI Architecture: Design robust, multi-tenant microservice cloud environments with security by design as the default. Run the Team's Rhythm: Drive planning, estimation, and delivery of commitments; turn designs into clear, estimated work that engineers own. Grow People: Mentor, review designs and code, and set engineering standards, with a growth path into formal team leadership as the team scales. Engage Beyond the Code: Work directly with product, customers, support, sales, and leadership to gather real-world insight, unblock fast, and align technical direction with the business. Collaborate Globally: Work closely with engineers and stakeholders across Israel, the US, Canada, and India. Qualifications • 8+ years of deep backend/systems experience, strong Python, and real production experience in a multi-tenant microservice cloud environment • Must: hands-on experience building LLM-based agents or agentic pipelines in production: orchestration, tool use, context engineering, model selection, cost and latency at scale • Must: hands-on experience evaluating them: an evaluation harness, golden datasets, or benchmark suites you built or owned, and you can explain how you knew a change made the system better rather than different • A track record of owning outcomes end to end, from early stage to scale, including a commitment that went wrong and what you did about it • A security engineering mindset: tenant isolation, access control, and secure design are non-negotiable to you • Technical leadership experience as a tech lead or team lead, with the intent to keep your hands in the code. Formal management experience is a plus • An All-Around Player: independent, execution-focused, and happy to build whatever it takes • Excellent English for working effectively across time zones Additional Information Work Personas We approach our distributed world of work with flexibility and trust. Backend Tech Lead
Quantum Machines · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Description Quantum Machines is a global leader in control systems for quantum computing, scaling from individual qubits to arrays of thousands. We're looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive the technical direction of our core backend layer and lead the engineers building it. The systems you'll own handle bursty, high-throughput workloads: thousands of requests per second, strict latency requirements, distributed coordination, hard concurrency problems. You'll shape the architecture, review the designs, and still write the code. What Makes This Role Different Our backend team is the orchestration layer between: • Hardware control systems (C++) • Client-exposed SDK (Python) • Reporting and management system (Go) • Business logic (Java/Kotlin + Spring) As Tech Lead, you're the technical anchor of that layer. When teams disagree on where a boundary belongs, you drive the decision. When a design has a flaw nobody's spotted, you catch it. When the hardest problem lands, you're close enough to the code to pick it up yourself. Requirements Requirements • 8+ years building backend systems in Java/Kotlin, including experience leading the technical work of a team • You still write code, and you're good at it - this is not a management-only role • Deep concurrency expertise: race conditions, lock ordering, async patterns - and you can teach others to reason about them • Architecture at system scale: throughput, distributed coordination, performance trade-offs • Design review leadership: you can take apart a design constructively and propose one that will hold • A track record of mentoring engineers who got better because of you • You treat code quality as a system property, building the standards and culture that sustain it Strong Plus • Spring experience • gRPC-based communication • Python programming • Experience in polyglot environments • AI coding agent experience, with opinions on how a team should use them well • Experience with real-time, low-latency, or hardware-adjacent systems You'll Thrive Here If You • Lead through reasoning, not title • Ask questions when requirements are unclear, rather than guessing • Know when to insist on "right" vs. "good enough to ship" • Give direct, kind feedback • Communicate clearly, including to non-backend audiences

You'll work across every electronics discipline, alongside algo, architects, logic designers, RF engineers, embedded developers, and physicists. What You'll Do • Build, bring up, and debug hardware prototype boards across analog, RF, power, digital, and mixed-signal domains. • Implement algorithms, write and simulate RTL, or embedded/Linux code • Lab measurements and benchmarks (scope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power analysis) • Work directly with product and system architects to translate an early concept into a concrete, testable prototype. • Document findings Requirements • BSc in Electrical Engineering. Advantages • System design and system integration experience. • Multi-disciplinary development or integration. • Experience to more than one of the disciplines above. • FPGA SoC development. • Scripting/automation experience (Python) for measurement or test setups.
