You will be one of the main players in the group, acting as the primary driving force to ideate, design, implement, maintain, and monitor a massive multi-tenant SaaS distributed ecosystem and inference platform. This mission-critical platform operates across three tiers: • Cloud (Worldwide SaaS) • On-Premise (Gateways / MSC2) • Edge Device Sensors (SDR / IoT tactical devices) We need a heavyweight engineer with the battle scars of planning and designing distributed systems from scratch, but who is still "hot on code" and loves being deeply hands-on. We operate with a strict 'You Build It, You Run It' culture. (Note: While this role is heavily focused on backend architecture and platform infrastructure, we believe in end-to-end ownership. You will occasionally dive into the frontend (React) to deliver complete features). What You Will Do: • Key Technical Partner: Work in close partnership with the Principal and Software Architect to translate high-level architectural vision into production reality. • Architect Distributed Systems: Lead the design, planning, and implementation of highly complex, high-throughput distributed systems from the ground up, ensuring seamless data ingestion and inference across Edge, On-Prem, and Cloud layers. • Lead by Example in Code: Write extremely sharp, scalable, and maintainable code. You will set the engineering standards for the rest of the team using Node.js, Express, and NestJS. • End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of the software lifecycle—from architectural design and backend coding to automated deployment and production monitoring. Ensure the high availability and observability of our multi-tenant SaaS environment. • Backend & Infrastructure Focus: Design and implement high-performance backend tasks, robust infrastructure, and high-throughput Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers utilizing both REST and gRPC protocols to process real-time sensor data and telemetry. Requirements: • Background: B.Sc. in Computer Science (from a leading university) OR Alumnus of an elite military technology unit. • Experience Level: 7+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years of hardcore backend development focusing on distributed systems. • Expert Coder: You are still deeply hands-on and "hot on code". • Core Backend Stack: Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript (JS) and TypeScript (TS). Deep, authoritative expertise in Node.js, Express, and NestJS, alongside a profound understanding of the JS Event Loop and asynchronous programming. • Distributed Systems: Proven, battle-tested experience planning, designing, and implementing complex, high-throughput distributed systems from scratch. • Cloud Native: 5+ years across on of AWS, Azure, or GCP with a focus on managed services (Serverless, EKS/AKS/GKE, auto-scaling). • Architecture: Proven experience with Event-Driven Design (one of Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Stream) and Microservices. • State Management: High-speed in-memory state (Redis) and relational data stores (PostgreSQL). • SaaS & Security: Expertise in secure, multi-tenant SaaS, ideally with knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and mTLS. • Containers: Hands-on experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes. • Frontend Willingness: Practical experience with React and a strong willingness to touch client-side code when necessary to deliver end-to-end features. Big Advantages: • Infrastructure as Code: Deep expertise treating infrastructure as software using Server-less Framework, Terraform, AWS CDK. • AI Tooling: Experience enriching and optimizing development using dev-assisting GenAI tools (such as Cursor, CoPilot, or ClaudeCode). • Data Scale: Experience with time-series telemetry pipelines and long-term storage tiering. • Observability: Experience implementing observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog). • Additional Tech: Python 3.6+ experience and multi-process/threaded application knowledge.

Senior Software Engineer – Remediation Workflows
Zafran · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Zafran's ServiceNow application is on the ServiceNow Store and is how a large part of our enterprise customer base experiences our product day to day. It has been built and maintained by an external partner; we are bringing it in-house. You would be the first ServiceNow engineer at Zafran and the owner of that application end to end — architecture, roadmap, code, certification, releases, and customer escalations. This is a product engineering role, not a platform administration or consulting role. You are not implementing ServiceNow for internal users; you are shipping a certified commercial application that installs into instances you do not control, at organizations whose configurations and data volumes you cannot predict. The work is substantially independent, with real ownership over technical direction, and sits close to both our product team and our customers' security operations teams About Zafran: Our Mission: To stop the exploitation of vulnerabilities, everywhere. What makes us different: Zafran de-risks 90% of critical vulnerabilities overnight across your hybrid environment and utilizes Agentic Capabilities and your existing security tools to rapidly mitigate and remediate the 10% most likely to be exploited. Who's behind us: Zafran is backed by Menlo Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, and a deep belief that cybersecurity should move as fast as attackers do. We're one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, scaling to meet demand from the world's most advanced, security-obsessed organizations. We're serious about our mission- so expect work that matters, teammates who challenge and inspire you, and plenty of fun along the way! What you'll own • The integration between Zafran's platform and ServiceNow, end to end: data ingestion, correlation of findings to configuration items, remediation workflows, and bidirectional sync • Architecture, development, and maintenance of the backend services behind the integration, built for scale: millions of records, partial failures, rate limits, and retries • Architecture, development, and maintenance of Zafran's scoped ServiceNow application • New capabilities on top of ServiceNow's security and CMDB modules, from design through customer POCs to release • Technical escalations from customers' ServiceNow administrators: joining calls, debugging in their environments, and turning what you find into fixes and product improvements • The technical side of pre-sales conversations when a prospect's ServiceNow team has hard questions • The ServiceNow Store certification and release cycle, with the support of the team • Versioning and upgrade paths: shipping new versions without breaking existing customers, including migration logic where the data model changes • Automated testing, source control, and release engineering for the application • Close collaboration with external development partners where relevant • Growing Remediation Workflows beyond ServiceNow as the role evolves Required • 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development in a product R&D team, with languages such as Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++ • Hands-on development experience on ServiceNow: server-side scripting, integrations, scoped applications • Experience building and running production systems at scale: services, data pipelines, and integrations with third-party systems • Defensive engineering instincts for code that runs in environments you cannot inspect - unknown customizations, unexpected data volumes, partial failures, rate limits, and retries • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as needed • Strong problem-solving, sense of ownership and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment • 5+ years of experience, in at least 2 positions • Mentality of a team player, with a capability to see the big picture, and use it to focus on critical detail • Capability and will to take responsibility and have a deep influence • Clear written and verbal communication with customers' technical teams Strongly preferred • Experience shipping an application to the ServiceNow Store and taking it through certification • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response or Security Operations - particularly third-party integrations built on the VR integration framework • CMDB knowledge, including CI identification and reconciliation (IRE) • IntegrationHub, Scripted REST APIs, Flow Designer • Experience with source control and automated testing (ATF) for ServiceNow applications • Golang • Certified Application Developer (CAD) Nice to have • Security background more broadly - vulnerability management, exposure management, or SOC workflows • Service Graph Connectors • MID Server architecture, especially for customers with on-premises or network-restricted deployments • Experience with domain-separated instances as a deployment target (MSPs and large enterprises may install our app; it needs to behave correctly there)
