Staff Software Engineer, AI (Org & Governance)
Wand AI · Remote

Build the Future Workforce Wand turns AI into labor. It enables humans and AI agents to operate together as a unified, hybrid workforce, with comprehensive management and oversight. And it’s already operating at scale inside some of the world’s largest organizations. Wand built the world’s first Agentic Labor Infrastructure enabling governments and global enterprises to create, manage, and scale digital workforces. Our mission is to integrate agent ecosystems into the core of work and business, unlocking a generational leap in the global economy. We’re building the infrastructure that lets humans and AI agents operate together safely, transparently, and at scale. Join Wand in leading the Agentic Shift Wand is building a high-performing global team who take full ownership of what they build. We lead by example, move fast, make data-aware decisions, and continuously push for more- always with a focus on delivering real value to customers. You would be joining a world-class team that combines deep research expertise and real-world product execution, with experience spanning Deepmind, Google, Amazon, Miro, Elise AI, IBM and Accern. Position Summary We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build the AI and agentic engines behind governance at Wand: systems that reason over messy, non-deterministic organizational data to catch policy violations, flag risk, and surface what humans actually need to see. This isn't about using AI day to day. It's about having built it: agentic workflows, models, or systems that went from idea to production. You'll join the Org Intelligence team as one of its most senior technical voices, with the autonomy to propose an approach, defend it, and then go build it, largely on your own. We're a small, remote-first, high-trust team. There's no hand holding here and not much process either. You own the problem end to end. Role Responsibilities • Design and build AI and agentic systems that analyze organizational data to catch policy violations, compliance risks, and governance issues, often from ambiguous, non-deterministic signals. • Build agents and pipelines that use LLMs to reason over large volumes of data, going well beyond deterministic, rule based checks. • Architect and build knowledge graph systems that model organizational structure and relationships, and make that context usable by agents. • Take a fuzzy, undefined problem ("find policy violations across messy data"), propose a real technical approach, defend it, then build it with minimal oversight. • Bring engineering rigor to inherently fuzzy territory: testing, evaluating, and iterating on how well your agents actually perform. • Partner with the rest of the Org Intelligence team to get AI-driven insight into the product's governance and compliance surfaces. • Contribute across the stack when it helps, though the core of this role is the AI and agent layer, not the UI. Key Requirements • A track record of building AI systems as a creator, not a consumer. You can talk in real depth about an agentic workflow, model, or system you built and shipped, not just a tool you use day to day. • Experience building or working with knowledge graphs in a real, shipped system. • Experience building agents or LLM based systems that reason over unstructured or ambiguous data, not simple deterministic pipelines. • Comfortable owning a project from architecture to delivery with real autonomy: you propose the design, defend it, then build it. • Strong software engineering fundamentals and the independence to thrive in a fast moving, remote first, senior-heavy team. • A history of turning fuzzy, non-trivial problems into concrete, working systems. • Practical experience with knowledge graph tooling: graph databases and query languages such as Neo4j/Cypher, RDF/SPARQL, Amazon Neptune, or similar. • Hands on experience with LLM provider APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph. • Comfortable with retrieval infrastructure like vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar) for grounding agent reasoning in organizational data. • Strong in a language well suited to graph construction, agent pipelines, and data analysis Preferred Experience • Experience building security, risk, or compliance related tooling, especially anything involving policy or violation detection. • Prior experience at a company building agentic or AI-native products, rather than bolting AI onto an existing product as a feature. • Comfortable working fully remote, across time zones, on a small and highly autonomous team.

Senior Software Engineer - Integrations - AI/ML
ClickHouse · Remote

The Connectors team is the bridge between ClickHouse and the broader ecosystem. We build and maintain the integrations that make ClickHouse accessible to millions of developers, data practitioners, and AI agents worldwide, from high-level data visualization plugins (Tableau, PowerBI, Superset, Metabase) to connectors for data frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka Connect, Fivetran), orchestration platforms, and AI tooling. Our work directly shapes how companies process massive datasets: real-time analytics platforms that ingest millions of events per second, observability systems that monitor global infrastructure, and, increasingly, AI-powered data applications that redefine how teams work with data. We collaborate closely with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure ClickHouse integrations set the standard for performance, reliability, and developer experience. About the role As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in the AI & ML ecosystem, you'll be a core contributor owning and evolving critical parts of ClickHouse's AI ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of high-performance database engineering and developer experience. You'll craft tools that enable Engineers and Data Scientists to harness ClickHouse's speed and scale in the frameworks they already use. Fortune and Fortune Media IP Limited are not affiliated with, and do not endorse products or services of GitLab. An overview of this role As a Staff Backend Engineer on GitLab's Security Factory: Code Scanning team, you help developers find and fix security issues. Those issues live in the code they write, and you set the technical direction for the static analysis engine that finds them. Your work spans two complementary parts of a complete security analysis. On the engine side, you shape how the static analysis toolkit models a program: parsing source into intermediate representations, resolving symbols, building call graphs, and tracking tainted data across files and languages. You define the architecture and specifications the team builds against, and you delegate component specifications within them to engineers and to the AI agents that implement them. On the evaluation side, you build and apply tooling that tests, measures, and validates what the engine finds against benchmark applications with known vulnerabilities. What the engine can model and how we measure what it finds are parts of one picture. As a Staff engineer you hold that picture, shape the long-range technical goals of the team, and raise the bar for every engineer on it. We build the engine with AI agents that write and review code from written specifications, under human direction. We expect you to direct that work effectively and with good judgment, and to help the team do the same. What you do • Act as the directly responsible individual (DRI) for the team's highest-scope initiatives from design through delivery, shipping large features with minimal guidance and shaping the long-range goals of the team • Bring systems built by one engineer to team ownership through documentation, tests, and shared review • Set the technical direction for the AI-assisted tooling that implements, reviews, and validates engine changes and findings, design the checks that decide whether an agent-written change or generated result is fit to merge, and measure detection quality against benchmark applications with known vulnerabilities, raising the bar for what counts as a trustworthy result. That includes static application security testing (SAST) rules mapped to CWE and OWASP, and the test fixtures that prove they work. • Own the architecture of the program model (parsing, symbol resolution, intermediate representations, call graphs, and taint and data-flow analysis) and of the pipeline that turns source code into findings, and define how both extend to new languages and frameworks • Solve technical problems of the highest scope and complexity, actively seek out difficult impediments affecting the whole team, and advocate for improvements to quality, security, and performance with Product Management, UX, and partner teams such as Code Security and Composition Analysis • Mentor all engineers on the team through code review and pairing, remove blockers to their autonomy, and shepherd the definition and improvement of our internal standards through review • Participate in on-call rotations to assist troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues • Define the overarching architecture and specification documents for the engine, delegate component specifications within them, and drive their implementation by AI agents and engineers working independently through phased plans, small reviewable units of change, and specifications kept in lockstep with the code • Build and maintain the harness, agent instructions, and agentic skills that keep agent-written code trustworthy, including separate coding and reviewing agents, rules and tests the coding agents cannot change, independent review panels of agents from different model providers, and performance, API, and dependency gates, with risky changes escalated to human review • Stay current with research in program analysis and security, run AI-assisted research and spikes, and turn the findings into prototypes, proposals, and upstream contributions, including responsible disclosure of findings in open source projects What you bring • Experience building your own LLM tooling, such as a harness, an agent pipeline, or evaluations, with the judgment to know when output is trustworthy and when it isn't • Extensive professional experience writing, testing, and reviewing production code in Rust, Go, or a comparable systems language, with depth in at least one. The engine is Rust, the analyzer wrapper is Go, and the monolith integration is Ruby, and we value willingness to work across them. • Experience with performance optimization and with containerized workflows and CI/CD (we use Docker heavily) • A deep program analysis and static analysis background, such as parsing and ASTs, intermediate representations (SSA, control-flow and call graphs), taint and data-flow analysis, type inference, incremental and fixpoint computation, or writing detection rules, with the ability to read, evaluate, and apply the research literature • Deep application security experience, such as vulnerability research, secure code review, or writing detection rules, and fluency with vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10, CWE) • Demonstrated capacity to communicate clearly and concisely about complex technical, architectural, and organizational problems, and to write architecture and design specifications that bring a team to a decision • A track record of taking ownership of ambiguous, team-wide problems and shipping them from concept to production with minimal guidance, with specific, regular async updates on progress, blockers, risks, and next steps • Experience defining a system's overarching architecture, delegating component specifications to engineers and AI agents, and getting them implemented reliably • A track record of mentoring engineers, raising a team's technical bar, and influencing technical direction by achieving consensus with peers and leadership Helpful experience • Familiarity with popular web or mobile application frameworks and how they handle input, data, and configuration • Experience designing guardrails for agent-written code, such as mutation testing, fuzzing, and CI gates the coding agent cannot modify • A record of engaging with the research community, such as publications, tool papers, or upstream open source contributions in program analysis or security About the team The Security Factory: Code Scanning team develops GitLab's SAST capabilities for customer software repositories. We work closely with the Code Security team on scanning rules & flows, with Composition Analysis on the broader software supply chain, and with other groups across the Sec Section. We rely heavily on asynchronous work across time zones. Remote-Global The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering (Chromium)
Nebius · Remote

About Nebius: Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure. Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI. Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D. The Product In a rapidly evolving world, trust in AI depends on AI agents being grounded in fresh, verified real-world data. Search is the foundation that makes this possible. We are building an agent-native search platform designed specifically for AI systems rather than human users. Our product provides programmatic, low-latency, and observable search APIs that AI agents use to retrieve, filter, and reason over real-world information at scale. The Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on the rendering infrastructure of a novel search engine tailored for agentic AI consumption. In this role, you will focus on loading modern web pages in a browser that we patch and build ourselves, so that content is rendered completely and reliably at a cost that works across billions of pages. You will work inside Chromium to remove what we do not need, make the rest faster and cheaper, and keep our build current as Chromium moves. Your work ensures that high-quality content is consistently available to the indexing and retrieval systems downstream. In this position, your responsibility will be to • Change Chromium in its heavy core (Blink, the V8 integration, the compositor, the network service) to cut CPU, memory and startup cost per page • Strip Chromium down for agent workloads: skip what nobody needs, such as image and media decoding, web font downloads, and rasterization and GPU work where no one needs pixels, while keeping what page scripts depend on to run correctly (style, layout, animation frames, observers), and work out what breaks, or renders differently, when you do • Keep the browser compatible with the web: make sure that what we remove does not change how the sites we load behave or render • Profile and tune fleets of browsers: the process model, memory per renderer, startup, isolation and crash handling • Build the production system around it: how browsers are launched, pooled, recycled and monitored You may be a good fit if you Have 5+ years of experience building production systems, and are an expert in several of the following areas. Inside the browser • Strong C++ in a large, performance-critical codebase, ideally Chromium, Blink or V8, or a comparable browser engine (Rust is a plus) • Chromium architecture: the process model, Mojo IPC, the rendering pipeline (DOM, style, layout, paint, compositing), and the network service • Building, debugging and shipping custom Chromium builds: the build system, tracing, crash analysis, and maintaining patches across releases Performance and systems • Profiling CPU, memory and I/O for browser fleets, with tools such as perf, tracing and flame graphs • Linux process isolation and resource management, concurrency, and memory management • Have run browsers in production, or built the infrastructure that does, and can describe where the time and memory went Strong candidates may also have experience with • Contributions to Chromium, Blink, V8, Firefox, WebKit or another browser engine • Building or maintaining a patched browser that you wrote the patches for • Browser instrumentation, including the Chrome DevTools Protocol • Working familiarity with how modern frontend frameworks render (SSR, CSR, streaming, hydration) • Distributed systems, Kubernetes, and Go or Python The kind of problems you will work on • Cut the cost of loading a page in half. Where do CPU and memory go, and what would you change in the browser? • Turn off the GPU and image decoding for agent workloads. What breaks, and what changes in how pages load and render? • A page runs a script that never yields. How do we detect and stop it without help from the page? • Chromium ships a new version. How do we bring a large set of patches forward in days, not weeks? • Decide when a page is finished, for pages with analytics beacons, long polling and endless scrolling. We conduct coding interviews as part of the process. Benefits & Perks: • Competitive compensation • Career growth and learning opportunities • Flexibility and ownership • Collaborative and innovative culture • Opportunity to work on impactful AI projects • International environment and talented teams What's it like to work at Nebius: Fast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI Equal Opportunity Statement: Nebius is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace and to providing equal employment opportunities in all aspects of employment. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, ancestry, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility as a condition of hire. If you need accommodations during the application process, please let us know.
