Description Who We Are At Cross River, we're building the financial infrastructure that powers global innovation. With our cutting-edge suite of embedded payments, cards, and lending solutions, we enable millions of businesses and consumers to transact seamlessly and securely. With 900+ employees worldwide and an R&D center of over 160 employees in Jerusalem - we’re reshaping how financial technology is developed and delivered. The Role Staff Software Engineer is our most senior individual-contributor role. You report to a VP of Engineering and act as the technical force multiplier across the several teams that VP owns through their Engineering Managers. Engineering Managers own people and delivery. You own the technical bar. Who You Are You turn strategy into architecture, make the hard design and build-versus-buy calls, and keep decisions coherent across every team under the VP. You work in three modes: lead technical direction, help unblock and grow teams, and build the highest-risk pieces yourself. Hands-on. Not a manager. Your leverage is architecture, code, and the engineers you make better. What You’ll Actually Be Doing • Partner with the VP to translate business goals into cross-team technical strategy and clear architecture. • Own the hard technical decisions: system design, service boundaries, data models, stack choices, and the tradeoffs behind them. • Define the standards teams build against: coding, testing, security, observability, operational readiness. • Drive alignment across Engineering Managers and their teams so independent decisions hold up at the platform level. • Unblock teams on the hard problems: scale, latency, reliability, thorny integrations, production incidents. • Take initiative without being asked: spot gaps, propose the fix, and drive it across teams before it becomes a problem. • Actively grow and mentor engineers. Invest in their technical development, coach through hard problems, and build the next tier of senior talent. • Prototype and ship the highest-leverage, highest-risk code yourself so teams inherit a proven path. • Set the bar for quality, security, and compliance in a regulated, real-time financial environment. Requirements What You Bring to the Table • 8+ years building and operating production software, with real depth in distributed backend systems at scale. • Track record leading technically across multiple teams without formal authority. You lead through clarity and credibility. • Strong system design: you reason clearly about scale, reliability, latency, cost, and security tradeoffs. • Deep in a primary backend stack (.NET / C# preferred) and able to go deep in others (Node.js, etc.). • Fluency with cloud, data at scale, real-time and streaming systems, modern CI/CD and observability. • Strong security and compliance instincts. Financial or regulated-domain experience a plus. • Clear technical writer. You align engineers and managers around a decision. • Self-starter. You see what needs doing and move on it without waiting for direction. • Genuine drive to develop others. You measure your impact partly by how much the engineers around you grow. • Still hands-on. You write code and want to. Why You’ll Love Working Here • Flexible hybrid model: 3 days a week in the office – A must • ₪1,000 net monthly wellness benefit – from therapy to Pilates to your kid’s art class • Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health & dental insurance • Donation matching, volunteering days, team outings, and mentorship programs • A mission-driven culture that values ownership, trust, and meaningful impact Next Step Hit Apply! Description We are At Cross River, we're building the financial infrastructure that powers global innovation. With our cutting-edge suite of embedded payments, cards, and lending solutions, we enable millions of businesses and consumers to transact seamlessly and securely. With 900+ employees worldwide and an R&D center of over 160 employees in Jerusalem - we’re reshaping how financial technology is developed and delivered. . The Role As a NOC Engineer, you will be the first line of defense for Cross River's production environment — the person who spots incidents and ensures our platforms stay stable. You'll monitor and triage events across our full technology stack, from infrastructure to application level, owning each incident end-to-end: detecting, assessing severity, resolving where possible, and escalating with clear context when needed. You'll work closely with SRE, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams, building real operational knowledge of how payments, lending, and card-processing systems behave in production. This role is designed as a launchpad — for engineers who show initiative and growth, it opens a clear path into Software Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure. Who You Are We are looking for a NOC Engineer at the start of their technical career — a current student, recent graduate, or early-career technologist with genuine curiosity about how large systems work and what happens when they break. You do not need years of NOC experience. You need to be organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely interested in solving problems rather than just routing them. You are a self-learner who picks up new technology quickly and does not stop at the surface of a problem. You are comfortable being hands-on, you ask why something failed rather than only that it failed, and you look for better ways to do things instead of only following the procedure in front of you. What You’ll Actually Be Doing • Monitor Cross River's production environments 24/7 and ensure system stability across infrastructure, application, and service levels • Own the full event lifecycle — detect, triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents at Tier 1.5, reducing unnecessary escalations to engineering teams • Make real-time severity calls and notify the right people with the right context at the right time • Improve runbooks, alert quality, and monitoring coverage as you learn the platform. • Collaborate directly with SRE, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams, gaining hands-on exposure to the systems that power Cross River's financial products Requirements What You Bring to the Table • Hands-on technical exposure — through coursework, military service, internships, or personal projects. Formal NOC experience is welcome but not required. • Excellent communication skills; fluent in both English and Hebrew — Must • Some coding ability in Python, .NET, scripting in Bash, PowerShell or similar, or the demonstrated ability to learn them quickly — Must • Ability to stay organized and work effectively under pressure, including against regulatory deadlines — Must • Basic working knowledge of SQL, networking, and Linux and Windows servers • Willingness to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week (07:30–15:30, 15:30–23:30, 23:30–07:30), including a monthly overnight rotation and occasional Friday mornings. Overnight shifts are remote. • Teamwork, and a willingness to ask questions early rather than guess Preferred / Nice-to-Have • Familiarity with monitoring platforms (New Relic, Datadog, PagerDuty, SolarWinds) • Exposure to ticketing and logging systems (ServiceNow, Jira, ELK) • Exposure to cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure). AWS Preferred. • Interest in scripting and automating repetitive operational work Why You’ll Love Working Here • Flexible hybrid work model: three days a week at our Jerusalem office • Monthly wellness reimbursement – from therapy to gel manicure, it's up to you • Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health and dental insurance • Volunteer days, donation matching, Yoga and Pilates • A supportive, collaborative culture that puts our people first Next Step Hit Apply! Description We are At Cross River, we're building the financial infrastructure that powers global innovation. With our cutting-edge suite of embedded payments, cards, and lending solutions, we enable millions of businesses and consumers to transact seamlessly and securely. With 900+ employees worldwide and an R&D center of over 160 employees in Jerusalem - we’re reshaping how financial technology is developed and delivered. . The Role As AI capabilities accelerate across the bank, we need an engineer to design and enforce safe AI usage—protecting customer data, preserving model integrity, and meeting our regulatory obligations. You'll be the architect of guardrails, tooling, and policies that make AI both secure and useful for product and internal teams. This isn't about slowing things down; it's about building the trust layer that lets innovation move fast without breaking things. Who You Are You're a security engineer who's excited about the AI wave—someone who sees LLMs and Agentic AI as fascinating puzzles to secure, not just threats to mitigate. You've spent 5+ years in Security Engineering, AppSec, or Cloud Security, and at least 1–2 of those years have been spent getting your hands dirty with LLMs, AI Agents and MCPs. You understand how agentic frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, and similar) orchestrate multi-step tool use—and where trust boundaries break down. You've assessed or secured AI-powered coding agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and understand the unique risks of AI with filesystem, terminal, and API access in developer environments. You're equally comfortable dissecting a prompt injection attack as you are writing a Terraform module or shipping a Python library. You know your way around AWS and/or Azure, modern app stacks (Python/TypeScript, REST/gRPC, containers/Kubernetes), and can translate security requirements into developer-friendly tooling—not just PDF policies that gather dust. You communicate clearly in English and Hebrew, thrive in regulated environments, and understand that security in financial services means mapping controls to frameworks like FFIEC, SOC 2, and PCI DSS—and actually having the evidence to prove it. What You’ll Actually Be Doing • Design enterprise AI guardrails across Azure and AWS (e.g., Azure AI Studio/Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock/SageMaker): content filtering, PII redaction, prompt/response validation, and policy enforcement services. • Assess and define secure usage patterns and data governance controls for agentic frameworks and coding agents: permission scoping, tool-call authorization, least‐privileged retrieval, session isolation, and MCP server governance. • Threat model AI systems (apps, agents, MCPs, RAG, fine-tuning pipelines) using frameworks like STRIDE and the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Apps; define misuse scenarios (prompt injection/context poisoning/jailbreaks/data exfiltration) and build mitigations. • Build monitoring and telemetry: privacy-preserving prompt/response logging, sensitive-data detection, safety/eval dashboards, drift/abuse signals, and incident hooks into our SIEM. • Integrate AI security into the SDLC: reusable libraries, pre-commit checks, CI/CD gates, policy-as-code, and secure-by-default reference architectures for product teams. • Evaluate third‑party AI vendors and internal apps: security reviews, data residency and retention requirements, SSO/SCIM integrations, DPA/TPRM inputs, and continuous control testing. • Partner across Security, Data, Privacy, and Engineering to map AI controls to FFIEC, SOC 2, and PCI DSS; document control evidence for audits. • Lead/participate in AI red‑teaming: automated jailbreak/prompt‑injection tests, safety benchmarks, purple‑team exercises, and response playbooks for AI incidents. • Enable the org with concise guidelines, examples, and training on safe AI development and usage. Requirements What You Bring to the Table • 5+ years in Security Engineering/AppSec/Cloud Security (or similar), including 1–2+ years securing AI/ML or data‑intensive systems (GenAI preferred). • Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure and modern app stacks (Python/TypeScript, REST/gRPC, containers/Kubernetes, IaC such as Terraform). • Practical understanding of LLM attack surfaces (prompt injection, context and goal poisoning, data leakage via tools, training/fine‑tune poisoning, model supply chain) and mitigation patterns. • Experience assessing agentic architectures (LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar) and AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for secure enterprise deployment. • Familiarity with identity and access for AI workloads (OAuth2/OIDC, service principals, role tokens, PIM), and secure secret management/KMS. • Experience implementing observability/telemetry and routing findings to SIEM; comfort balancing privacy with traceability. • Ability to translate controls into developer-friendly libraries, docs, and CI/CD checks. • Comfort working in a regulated environment and mapping controls to frameworks (FFIEC, SOC 2, PCI DSS). • Strong written communication in English and Hebrew. Nice to have • Financial services background or other high‑assurance domains. • Exposure to Duende IdentityServer, SSO/SCIM, and enterprise authorization patterns. • Familiarity with guardrail tooling (e.g., Azure AI Safety features, Amazon Bedrock Guardrails) and policy engines (OPA/Rego). • Prior work in AI red‑teaming or safety evaluation harnesses; contributions to OSS or published talks. Why You’ll Love Working Here • Flexible hybrid work model: three days a week at our Jerusalem office • Monthly wellness reimbursement – from therapy to gel manicure, it's up to you • Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health and dental insurance • Volunteer days, donation matching, Yoga and Pilates • A supportive, collaborative culture that puts our people first Next Step Hit Apply!
