Director of Engineering, Measurement
Triple Whale · Jerusalem

What Do We Do? Triple Whale is the AI operating system built for modern ecommmerce. We help you see what's actually working in your business, what's not, and what to do next. Then we take action for you — pausing the underperforming ad, generating the next batch of creative, flagging the inventory risk before it bites. We pull every signal in your business into one place, and put it on the most trusted measurement foundation in the industry. And on top of that, we give you the most actionable AI in commerce — Moby 2 — letting you tap any LLM you want, grounded in the full context of your business. Moby 2 doesn't just surface insights, it executes decisions for you, with automations that make the rest of your stack smarter. The result: more than 65,000 brands like Pressed Juicery, OUAI, and True Classic turn mountains of complex data into actions that actually grow profit, at a speed and scale that is not humanly possible. Why Triple Whale Needs You: We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our Measurement engineering organization, currently spanning approximately five teams (15 engineers) and growing. You’ll directly manage the team leads and own the area’s technical direction, execution, and operational performance with the opportunity to shape both the systems we build and how our teams work as we scale. This role is approximately 70% management and 30% hands-on technical work. To succeed at Triple Whale, you need to understand the details deeply: how systems work, where data comes from, why decisions were made, and what is blocking progress. You should be comfortable moving from a leadership discussion into code, data flows, or a production investigation. Staying close to the code and production systems will give you a deep understanding of their intricacies, dependencies, and trade-offs, grounding your leadership in firsthand technical knowledge. Triple Whale has experienced rapid growth while intentionally maintaining a startup mindset. We’ve prioritized speed, ownership, and the ability to move quickly over adding process for process’s sake. As we continue to scale, part of this role will be identifying where greater structure and stronger processes will help the team operate more effectively, while being thoughtful not to introduce unnecessary bureaucracy or compromise the speed that is core to how we work. We tend to work in short cycles and adapt quickly to customer needs, which means to be effective you must be comfortable with regular context switching and dynamic prioritization. You’ll connect the work across Measurement, bringing together business priorities, customer needs, and technical context so teams can make clear decisions and deliver effectively. You’ll work closely with our Director of Product for Measurement and partner with leadership and team leads to translate company direction into clear engineering priorities, making trade-offs explicit and giving teams the context to execute while keeping them informed and protecting their focus. Who This Is An Opportunity For: This is an opportunity for someone who wants to: • Own and scale a growing, multi-team engineering organization. • Stay close to the technology and the customer problems we’re solving. • Work with high autonomy, little bureaucracy, and a strong sense of ownership. • Genuinely loves managing people. Someone who is naturally good at developing leaders, building strong teams, and getting the best out of people. What You’ll Do: Coordinate, Prioritize, and Unblock • Stay closely connected to leadership, the Director of Product, and team leads, bringing together technical and business context to align priorities across the domain and understand changing priorities. • Bring clarity to evolving or competing requests, using your judgment to define practical next steps and help teams move forward as details take shape. • Distinguish exploratory ideas from agreed changes in direction. When priorities shift, clarify what continues, what changes, and what stops, making delivery implications visible while protecting the teams’ focus. • Resolve cross-team dependencies, bring the right people together, and unblock decisions that team leads cannot advance alone. Follow decisions through to completion. • Coordinate through direct conversations and lightweight communication, giving teams the context they need without adding unnecessary processes or becoming a bottleneck. • Drive Clarity & Execution: Turn unclear requests into clear next steps; Keep teams aligned when priorities change; Unblock decisions and dependencies teams can’t resolve on their own; Keep communication simple, direct, and efficient. Lead an Independent, Accountable Organization • Set clear expectations for delivery, technical quality, people management, and ownership. • Own hiring, organizational structure, and performance management. Address people and performance issues directly and respectfully. • Give the team leads the authority to make decisions independently and hold them accountable for outcomes. • Provide candid feedback and practical support while expecting people to take ownership over their continued growth. • Build trust so that people raise concerns early, challenge assumptions, and act on problems beyond their assigned tasks. Apply Strategic Judgment • Shape engineering direction in partnership with the Director of Product and engineering leadership. • Balance near-term business priorities with long-term technical needs, including reliability, data correctness, infrastructure cost, and technical debt. • Understand the broader impact of decisions and make clear recommendations based on tradeoffs, costs, and delivery implications. • Move quickly when decisions are reversible, apply greater rigor when the stakes are higher, and adjust as new information becomes available. Stay Deep in the Technology • Know the systems your teams own and be deep into the technical details. • Jump into designs, code, debugging, or production issues when your involvement can help. • Ensure systems are reliable, accurate, scalable, and cost-effective. • Take ownership of critical technical issues through resolution. • Stay technically involved without taking ownership away from team leads. Partner Across Product and the Industry • Be the primary engineering counterpart to our Director of Product for Measurement, sharing accountability for customer outcomes. • Resolve disagreements between Product and Engineering through clear reasoning and explicit trade-offs. • Explain complex technical issues clearly to leadership and nontechnical stakeholders. • Represent Triple Whale in technical and strategic discussions with partners such as Meta, Google, and TikTok. Lead Advanced AI Adoption • Use AI extensively in your own work, including coding, technical investigation, analysis, and planning. • Build and improve AI-assisted workflows and agent-based automation that solve real problems for the teams. • Expect team leads to develop their own practical AI proficiency and apply it to their work. • Validate AI-generated output and maintain clear standards for security, privacy, and data quality. • Evaluate tools through hands-on use and demonstrated results. What You’ll Bring • 2-3 years of proven experience managing engineering teams and leads across multiple teams, with accountability for people, delivery, and production systems. • Strong engineering individual contributor background is a must with significant hands-on experience as an engineer. • Experience leading in a fast-growing startup, bringing clarity to evolving priorities and developing practical ways of working as the organization scales. • Strong coordination skills and the ability to manage frequent context switching without losing important details or leaving issues unresolved. • Sound judgment to balance competing input, set clear priorities, and help teams move forward confidently as details take shape. • Experience scaling engineering organizations, including hiring and developing strong leaders, building high-performing teams, and demonstrating strong judgment in identifying top performers and underperformance, with the ability to make clear, timely talent decisions when needed. • A strong hands-on software engineering background and current ability to read code, review architecture, and investigate complex production problems. • Significant experience working with big data and data engineering teams in very high-scale production environments. • A strong understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, analytical workloads, and their operational trade-offs. • Deep attention to detail and the ability to learn unfamiliar tools, codebases, and domains independently. • Advanced, practical AI proficiency, including substantial use of AI coding tools, LLMs, and agent-based workflows. You can demonstrate your work, explain its limitations, and show how you validate results. • High emotional intelligence and genuine respect for people, paired with clear accountability. • Low ego and intellectual honesty. You seek expertise and change your view when the evidence changes. • Native-level English proficiency, written and spoken, sufficient to lead nuanced technical discussions, write clear proposals, and represent Triple Whale with global partners. • Strong in-office presence at our Jerusalem office, of at least three days per week. • Full availability in the evenings. Nice to Have • Experience in marketing measurement, attribution, adtech, ecommerce analytics, or related domains. • Familiarity with multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, identity resolution, or event tracking. • Experience collaborating directly with big companies like Meta, Google, or TikTok on integrations, measurement, or data partnerships. • Experience with streaming data systems and analytical databases such as ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar technologies. • Experience applying AI to data-intensive products or engineering operations beyond individual productivity. Engineering Manager

Staff Software Engineer
Cross River · Jerusalem

Description Who We Are At Cross River, we're building the financial infrastructure that powers global innovation. With our cutting-edge suite of embedded payments, cards, and lending solutions, we enable millions of businesses and consumers to transact seamlessly and securely. With 900+ employees worldwide and an R&D center of over 160 employees in Jerusalem - we’re reshaping how financial technology is developed and delivered. The Role Staff Software Engineer is our most senior individual-contributor role. You report to a VP of Engineering and act as the technical force multiplier across the several teams that VP owns through their Engineering Managers. Engineering Managers own people and delivery. You own the technical bar. Who You Are You turn strategy into architecture, make the hard design and build-versus-buy calls, and keep decisions coherent across every team under the VP. You work in three modes: lead technical direction, help unblock and grow teams, and build the highest-risk pieces yourself. Hands-on. Not a manager. Your leverage is architecture, code, and the engineers you make better. What You’ll Actually Be Doing • Partner with the VP to translate business goals into cross-team technical strategy and clear architecture. • Own the hard technical decisions: system design, service boundaries, data models, stack choices, and the tradeoffs behind them. • Define the standards teams build against: coding, testing, security, observability, operational readiness. • Drive alignment across Engineering Managers and their teams so independent decisions hold up at the platform level. • Unblock teams on the hard problems: scale, latency, reliability, thorny integrations, production incidents. • Take initiative without being asked: spot gaps, propose the fix, and drive it across teams before it becomes a problem. • Actively grow and mentor engineers. Invest in their technical development, coach through hard problems, and build the next tier of senior talent. • Prototype and ship the highest-leverage, highest-risk code yourself so teams inherit a proven path. • Set the bar for quality, security, and compliance in a regulated, real-time financial environment. Requirements What You Bring to the Table • 8+ years building and operating production software, with real depth in distributed backend systems at scale. • Track record leading technically across multiple teams without formal authority. You lead through clarity and credibility. • Strong system design: you reason clearly about scale, reliability, latency, cost, and security tradeoffs. • Deep in a primary backend stack (.NET / C# preferred) and able to go deep in others (Node.js, etc.). • Fluency with cloud, data at scale, real-time and streaming systems, modern CI/CD and observability. • Strong security and compliance instincts. Financial or regulated-domain experience a plus. • Clear technical writer. You align engineers and managers around a decision. • Self-starter. You see what needs doing and move on it without waiting for direction. • Genuine drive to develop others. You measure your impact partly by how much the engineers around you grow. • Still hands-on. You write code and want to. Why You’ll Love Working Here • Flexible hybrid model: 3 days a week in the office – A must • ₪1,000 net monthly wellness benefit – from therapy to Pilates to your kid’s art class • Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health & dental insurance • Donation matching, volunteering days, team outings, and mentorship programs • A mission-driven culture that values ownership, trust, and meaningful impact Next Step Hit Apply! The Role We’re seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer who is first and foremost a teacher, advisor, and enabler for our development teams. Rather than owning security alone, you’ll embed secure-by-design thinking across engineering by mentoring developers, guiding architecture decisions, and making secure development intuitive and frictionless. You’ll serve as the go-to partner for developers and engineering leaders, offering clear direction, practical solutions, and hands-on mentorship that strengthens our secure SDLC. NOC Engineer
Cross River · Jerusalem

Description We are At Cross River, we're building the financial infrastructure that powers global innovation. With our cutting-edge suite of embedded payments, cards, and lending solutions, we enable millions of businesses and consumers to transact seamlessly and securely. With 900+ employees worldwide and an R&D center of over 160 employees in Jerusalem - we’re reshaping how financial technology is developed and delivered. . The Role As a NOC Engineer, you will be the first line of defense for Cross River's production environment — the person who spots incidents and ensures our platforms stay stable. You'll monitor and triage events across our full technology stack, from infrastructure to application level, owning each incident end-to-end: detecting, assessing severity, resolving where possible, and escalating with clear context when needed. You'll work closely with SRE, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams, building real operational knowledge of how payments, lending, and card-processing systems behave in production. This role is designed as a launchpad — for engineers who show initiative and growth, it opens a clear path into Software Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure. Who You Are We are looking for a NOC Engineer at the start of their technical career — a current student, recent graduate, or early-career technologist with genuine curiosity about how large systems work and what happens when they break. You do not need years of NOC experience. You need to be organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely interested in solving problems rather than just routing them. You are a self-learner who picks up new technology quickly and does not stop at the surface of a problem. You are comfortable being hands-on, you ask why something failed rather than only that it failed, and you look for better ways to do things instead of only following the procedure in front of you. What You’ll Actually Be Doing • Monitor Cross River's production environments 24/7 and ensure system stability across infrastructure, application, and service levels • Own the full event lifecycle — detect, triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents at Tier 1.5, reducing unnecessary escalations to engineering teams • Make real-time severity calls and notify the right people with the right context at the right time • Improve runbooks, alert quality, and monitoring coverage as you learn the platform. • Collaborate directly with SRE, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams, gaining hands-on exposure to the systems that power Cross River's financial products Requirements What You Bring to the Table • Hands-on technical exposure — through coursework, military service, internships, or personal projects. Formal NOC experience is welcome but not required. • Excellent communication skills; fluent in both English and Hebrew — Must • Some coding ability in Python, .NET, scripting in Bash, PowerShell or similar, or the demonstrated ability to learn them quickly — Must • Ability to stay organized and work effectively under pressure, including against regulatory deadlines — Must • Basic working knowledge of SQL, networking, and Linux and Windows servers • Willingness to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week (07:30–15:30, 15:30–23:30, 23:30–07:30), including a monthly overnight rotation and occasional Friday mornings. Overnight shifts are remote. • Teamwork, and a willingness to ask questions early rather than guess Preferred / Nice-to-Have • Familiarity with monitoring platforms (New Relic, Datadog, PagerDuty, SolarWinds) • Exposure to ticketing and logging systems (ServiceNow, Jira, ELK) • Exposure to cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure). AWS Preferred. • Interest in scripting and automating repetitive operational work Why You’ll Love Working Here • Flexible hybrid work model: three days a week at our Jerusalem office • Monthly wellness reimbursement – from therapy to gel manicure, it's up to you • Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health and dental insurance • Volunteer days, donation matching, Yoga and Pilates • A supportive, collaborative culture that puts our people first Next Step Hit Apply!
