Kela Technologies · Tel Aviv-Yafo

Description Kela is a defense technology startup pioneering next-generation defense technology, from command & control software to complete field-deployed systems. We empower defense organizations with robust, scalable, and secure platforms that integrate diverse sensors and AI to deliver real-time battlefield intelligence. Backed by leading investors, Kela combines Israeli innovation with global mission impact. We move faster than any defense startup you've worked at, and faster than most commercial ones. Prototypes go from sketch to metal in weeks, not quarters. If that pace sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll own the detailed design of ruggedized units and the mechanical hardware that integrates them onto heavy platforms. Working under the mechanical tech lead, you'll take assemblies from concept CAD through analysis-driven iteration to released production drawings. You'll design the mechanisms and fixtures that support development and fielding, and you'll build and debug your own prototypes hands-on. Responsibilities • Lead the design from prototype to serial production — MIL-STD qualification, manufacturing package, subcontractor ramp and engineering changes. • Own the detailed design of ruggedized sealed units and their platform-integration hardware, from concept CAD to released drawings. • Design mechanisms — moving, locking and release assemblies. • Design rigs and fixtures for data collection and testing. • Iterate the design against subcontracted thermal and dynamic analyses. • Build and debug prototypes hands-on. • Co-design PCBs with the hardware engineers — outline, keepouts, placement. Requirements • 7+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience. • BSc in Mechanical Engineering. • Strong SolidWorks proficiency with a record of released manufacturing drawings, including GD&T. • Experience designing sealed or ruggedized assemblies for harsh environments. • Experience designing mechanisms. • Experience working with manufacturing subcontractors and designing to cost. • Experience in thermal and structural design of electronics packaging. • Proven experience taking a product from prototype to serial production on defense programs, including the qualification and documentation that gate it. • Uncompromising attention to detail - you get into every part of the design, down to the torque spec of every screw. Advantages • Experience integrating equipment onto heavy or armored vehicle platforms. • Familiarity with MIL-STD environmental and EMC design practice. • A personal maker portfolio of hardware you designed and built yourself. • Experience designing enclosures for EO (electro-optical) systems.

Regulus · Haifa

Description Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future. We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare R&D team and work on mechanical development of advanced counter-UAV detection and jamming systems. Key Responsibilities • Lead full-cycle mechanical design of electronic and RF system assemblies - from initial architectural concept, thermal and structural analysis, and PCB integration to volume serial production • Perform structural, thermal, and modal analyses. • Select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing technologies. • Manage development and engineering processes end-to-end: from concept, through prototyping, to full production implementation, ensuring quality and supply chain standards. • Prepare drawings, production files, and BOMs according to ISO standards. • Develop mechanical solutions for multidisciplinary systems (mechanics, RF, electronics, aeronautics). • Define and design cable assemblies, including cable routing and integration within the system • Conduct verification and validation testing. • Work with advanced CAD tools: SolidWorks for design and PDM for production document management. Requirements • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design – Must • Hands-on experience in the design and development of products for multidisciplinary, defense, automotive, or medical device industries. • Experience in performing and/or leading thermal simulations for electronic systems • Proficiency in SolidWorks - Must • Ability to define required components and read and interpret component datasheets • Strong hands-on approach, with experience in building and testing prototypes, identifying design issues, and implementing design improvements • Experience working with subcontractors across various disciplines, including component definition, enclosures, fasteners, and related mechanical components • Experience working with PLM/PDM systems. • High-level English (reading, writing, speaking). • Independent, detail-oriented, and team player. • Experience with DFM/DFA processes – Advantage. • Experience working in a startup environment – Advantage
