Description Directeam empowers startups to scale AWS efficiently through our premier FinOps ecosystem. We combine our flagship automated savings engine, Sombrero Savings, with our latest breakthrough: a Real-Time AI FinOps Agent. As a top-tier AI-Native AWS Partner, we don’t just manage costs, we turn cloud waste into business runway. Our AI-backed service is already live across our client base, cutting monthly cloud costs by an average of over 30%. You’ll also use AI tools to build and automate the processes around them. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, where your work directly shapes how the business runs and your path toward Controller is built into the job. What You’ll Do • Support and run the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals. • Control expenses, monitor actuals against budget and flag deviations early. • Track open invoices, follow up with customers and report aging. • Manage the vendor payment cycle end to end. • Perform compliance controls and make sure documentation is in order. • Ensure data accuracy across billing, bookkeeping and finance systems. • Spot inefficiencies, then build and automate processes using AI tools instead of repeating manual work. • Work closely with the VP Finance, Bookkeeper, Billing Operations and other teams across the company. Requirements • Licensed CPA (internship completed). • Up to 2 years of experience in a CPA firm or a hi-tech company. • Hands-on experience with month-end close. • Excellent English, written and spoken. • Proficiency in Google Workspace. • Ability to build and improve processes using AI. • Precise and detail-oriented, with accuracy in data validation. • Independent and proactive, with a habit of improving things before anyone asks. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Works well under pressure: a fast, self-driven learner. Advantages • Big 4 background. • Familiarity with Priority ERP. • Creative approach to problem solving.
