We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Data team. If you are passionate about performance tuning, experienced in building and managing mission-critical environments in Azure, and comfortable diving deep into Big Data environments on GCP, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you will serve as a key technical authority responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing reliability of our database infrastructure, working in a complex and challenging multi-cloud environment. What You'll Do SQL Server Administration: Take end-to-end ownership of production environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex database issues. Performance & Optimization: Perform in-depth monitoring, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and improve indexing strategies and overall database performance. Cloud Infrastructure – Azure: Manage cloud-based database environments, including Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance, and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Modern Data Warehousing: Work with Google Cloud BigQuery, focusing on cost optimization, access and permissions management, and improving query performance across large-scale datasets. Automation: Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL to automate infrastructure tasks, database maintenance, and operational processes. Requirements 5+ years of experience as an Application DBA, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server – required. Infrastructure DBA experience is an advantage. Azure expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services – required. GCP BigQuery experience: Hands-on experience with Big Data and/or Data Warehouse environments on Google Cloud Platform – a significant advantage. This position is a key role within Global-e’s Data Department, which supports critical business decisions and manages complex financial processes — including reporting for NASDAQ compliance. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain complex financial reporting solutions (including advanced SQL queries). • Investigate and troubleshoot data issues, validate results, and deliver high-quality ad-hoc reports and analyses. • Develop and maintain data pipelines that load data from external, heterogeneous sources using PowerShell and SQL scripts. • Support the migration of complex stored procedures and data processes from SQL Server to Snowflake. Requirements • 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA. • Ability to translate business processes into efficient, functional code. • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. • High standards in design, documentation, and testing. • Proven experience with automation through scripting (PowerShell, SQL, etc.). • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (advantage). • Background or familiarity with financial systems or terminology (advantage). • Experience working with AWS (advantage). • Familiarity with SSIS, or tools such as Rivery, Qlik Replicate, dbt, or Airflow (advantage). • Familiarity with AI-assisted development and operations tools, e.g Microsoft Copilot, AI-based query optimization or monitoring tools (advantage)

Bonus points if you have: • Hands-on development experience with Apex, Lightning, Flows, or scripting/integration technologies. • Experience building or deploying GenAI-powered solutions in production enterprise environments.
