BI Developer jobs in Tel Aviv-Yafo
Description About Port Port is the Agentic SDLC Platform. The way engineering teams build software is constantly evolving, and every new wave - such as AI agents operating across the SDLC- makes engineering more powerful, but also more complex and chaotic. Port turns that chaos into control: one platform to build, govern, and operate the software development lifecycle, enabling every team to move as fast as technology allows. Following our $100M Series C funding round, we are entering an exciting stage of significant growth and global expansion. As a product-led company, we believe the recipe for success is a world-class product that speaks for itself. About the role: We are looking for a BI Lead to join our Data team. You will define the metrics the company runs on, make sure they are modeled correctly, and set the technical standards our analysts work with. You'll work directly with Sales, Product, and Marketing leaders to align on what we measure and why. As our technical lead for analytics, you own the definitions and standards that drive business decisions across Port. As our BI Lead, you'll own the analytics function end-to-end: defining what we measure and why, setting technical and organizational standards for how we measure it, and empowering teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions. You'll be hands-on technically while also developing processes that scale. Key Responsibilities: • Define, own, and validate business logic behind core KPIs with executives, align definitions with relevant stakeholders, and once approved, model them in the data warehouse to ensure consistent, trusted metrics across all teams. • Work closely with stakeholders across the company (Sales, Product, Marketing, etc.) to understand what needs to be measured, why and how. • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business Analytics to design scalable data pipelines, data models, and semantic layers that support analytics, experimentation, and advanced modeling. • Lead the evaluation, selection, and optimization of BI and data infrastructure in collaboration with data engineering. • Build and maintain the cross-company dashboards and reports that business leaders actually rely on to make decisions. Requirements • 5+ years in analytics, BI, or data product management working in B2B SaaS companies, ideally developer tooling or platform. • Strong understanding of business analytics, KPI definition, and metrics design. • Proven experience owning data and analytics products end-to-end, from business problem definition and measurement strategy through strategy, development, and production. • Experience working with a modern data stack: warehouse (Snowflake or similar), dbt or an equivalent transformation layer, a semantic layer, and a BI tool. • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks, metrics definitions, and dashboards. • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to business leaders.
About At-Bay We are an insurance company built by cybersecurity experts, leveraging our technology and security expertise to better understand digital risks and, thus, build better insurance products and services. We help clients by providing insurance products, guidance on their security issues, and active risk management. Like software, digital risk is eating the world and we aim to empower businesses to thrive in this ever-changing landscape. We are distributed globally with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Atlanta, and Tel Aviv. We have aggressive plans to scale our business and believe the best way to make that happen is to immediately invest in further developing our teams. Responsibilities • Model the business: design and own dimensional and domain data models in Snowflake that serve as the single source of truth for key metrics. • Build reliable pipelines: develop incremental, tested and version-controlled transformations with dbt, Python and Airflow, ingesting data from internal services, SaaS tools and third-party APIs. • Own data quality: implement tests, data contracts, monitoring and alerting so stakeholders can trust the numbers. • Optimize performance and cost: tune queries, warehouses and models; keep Snowflake spend efficient as data volumes grow. • Enable self-serve and AI: build a well-defined semantic/metrics layer and clean, documented data that analysts, BI tools and LLM-based agents can query safely. • Work with AI-assisted tooling: use tools such as Claude Code / Copilot to accelerate development, and help the team adopt best practices around them. • Lead technical initiatives: drive POCs, migrations and architecture decisions, and raise the bar through code reviews and mentoring. • Partner cross-functionally: translate business questions from underwriting, finance, product and leadership into scalable data solutions. Requirements • 4+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer • Expert SQL skills, including reading query plans and optimizing performance at scale • Strong experience in DWH design and dimensional modeling (Star schemas, SCDs, incremental loads) • Experience with Snowflake (performance tuning, cost management, RBAC) • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster or similar • Hands-on experience with dbt in production (models, tests, macros, documentation) • Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, automation and integrations • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data • Strong ownership - you take projects from ambiguous requirements to production • Excellent communication skills in English and Hebrew, and the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders Advantages • Experience with a semantic layer / metrics store and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Sigma) • Experience with data observability and quality tooling • Experience building data foundations for LLMs or AI agents (e.g., text-to-SQL, MCP, RAG over structured data) • Background in insurance, fintech or cybersecurity data • B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field Our Stack Snowflake · dbt · Python · Airflow · PostgreSQL · MySQL · AWS · Git / GitHub Actions · AI-assisted development tools Location: Tel Aviv, Israel (near the train station and main bus stops) · Hybrid- 3 days in office What you'll get • A competitive salary and benefits package • A real impact on how a leading cyber insurer prices risk and makes decisions • A genuine emphasis on work-life balance — we mean it, not just say it • Beautiful offices in the heart of Tel Aviv, easily accessible by train and bus • Smart, passionate, and fun colleagues who take pride in their work • Challenges you won't find anywhere else we're a unique blend of a fast-moving tech startup, an international firm, and an insurance company
