Senior Software Engineer
Elsight · Ramat Gan

DescriptionAs a Senior Backend Software Engineer on Elsight's Compute team, you'll design, build, and own the backend services that power reliable connectivity for unmanned and autonomous systems. This is a hands-on senior role at the intersection of backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and production operations. You'll make architecture decisions, take services from design through deployment and ongoing operation, and help ensure our systems remain scalable, secure, observable, and resilient across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll work closely with Product and R&D teams, while raising the engineering bar through strong technical standards, code reviews, and mentorship. Who are we? Elsight builds the technology that keeps autonomous systems connected and mission-ready—anywhere, across air, land, and maritime domains. Our Halo platform is already field-proven across more than 500,000 operational hours and trusted by 80+ customers worldwide, from defense forces to commercial operators. We took a bold idea and turned it into a proven public company (ASX: ELS) at the forefront of the autonomy revolution. With 10x year-over-year revenue growth and rapid global expansion, we're scaling fast—and we're just getting started. Join us to work on hard, meaningful problems alongside people who care about getting them right, and to help shape one of the defining technology shifts of the decade. It's time to scale up both the product and the team, and we're looking for people to win with! You will… Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data models that support Elsight's products and customer deployments. Own services end to end — from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. Build and evolve systems that run across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, performance, and high availability. Improve our infrastructure and delivery foundations, including containerization, orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and internal developer tooling. Strengthen observability by defining meaningful metrics, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs, and by driving root-cause analysis and long-term fixes. Troubleshoot complex distributed-system, integration, and production issues using structured, hands-on problem solving. Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards, review code, create reusable patterns, and mentor other engineers. Collaborate closely with Product, Firmware/Hardware, and R&D stakeholders, clearly communicating technical tradeoffs and turning product needs into robust solutions. Requirements Apply if you have… 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with deep expertise in designing and building production-grade backend systems. Strong knowledge of backend architecture, distributed systems, API design, databases, data modeling, scalability, and performance. Proven end-to-end ownership of services in production, including deployment, observability, debugging, incident response, and root-cause analysis. Hands-on experience with cloud and infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience supporting systems across cloud and on-prem environments; familiarity with high-availability or multi-cloud architectures is a strong advantage. Strong programming skills in a modern backend language. Experience with Go or Rust is highly valued; Python is also relevant, and C/C++ is an advantage. Experience building SaaS, platform, security, cyber, SRE, or other mission-critical systems where reliability and operational excellence matter. Strong system-level understanding, including Linux, networking, security best practices, IAM, and secrets management. A track record of making pragmatic architecture decisions, writing high-quality code, reviewing others' work, and mentoring engineers. Clear communication, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs to different audiences. An ownership-driven, curious, and quality-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently and solve ambiguous problems in a fast-moving R&D environment. If you've made it this far and are excited about the opportunity, don't let a few unchecked boxes hold you back. If you believe you're a strong fit for the role, we'd love to hear from you.

Configuration Management & NPI Engineer
Elsight · Ramat Gan

We're looking for a Configuration Management & NPI Engineer to own the integrity and manufacturability of our hardware products from prototype to mass production. You'll manage HW configuration, lead NPI with contract manufacturers, and support board quality through verification and testing. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of R&D, operations, and manufacturing, keeping our hardware baseline accurate, builds on track, and products reliable. You will contribute across three connected areas: configuration management, new product introduction, and hardware and manufacturing quality & verification. Configuration Management Establish and own the HW configuration management process: BOMs, part numbering, revisions, and product structures in the PLM/ERP system. Create, manage, and release ECOs/ECNs/ECRs; drive change review boards and ensure changes are documented, approved, and communicated to manufacturing. Maintain traceability across products and board versions, firmware/HW compatibility, and approved vendor/manufacturer lists (AVL/AML). Control released engineering documentation (schematics, assembly drawings, fab drawings, test specs) and enforce revision integrity. NPI (New Product Introduction) Lead HW products from prototype through to mass production, coordinating between R&D and manufacturing. Manage relationships with contract manufacturers (CMs/EMS) and component suppliers: RFQs, quotes, build packages, and production readiness. Own prototype and pilot builds — kitting, DFM/DFT feedback, first-article inspection, and issue resolution. Drive NPI schedules, build plans, and readiness gates; track open issues to closure. Hardware Quality & Verification Define and execute verification/validation plans for new and revised boards (bring-up, functional, environmental as needed). Develop and maintain automated test setups (ICT/functional test/end-of-line) with R&D and test engineering. Analyze test data and field/production failures; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions (RMA, 8D/CAPA). Support production ramp: yield monitoring, process improvements, and quality metrics. Requirements Apply if you have: 3+ years in configuration management, NPI, or HW quality in an electronics/PCBA product company. Hands-on experience with BOMs, ECO/change-control processes, and PLM/ERP systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, SAP, Priority). Experience working with contract manufacturers and component suppliers. Understanding of PCB/PCBA design, assembly, and manufacturing processes; ability to read schematics and assembly drawings. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610) and HW test methods. Strong organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination skills. Advantage Experience defining automated test systems (functional/ICT/EOL); scripting ability (Python) for test/data. Knowledge of DFM/DFT and reliability/environmental testing. Good English, written and verbal. If you've made it this far and are excited about the opportunity, don't let a few unchecked boxes hold you back. If you believe you're a strong fit for the role, we'd love to hear from you.
